    Career in table tennis:
    1979- 1985:
    Working for the French Sport Ministry as head coach of the region Languedoc
    Roussillon (in charge of high level, coach education and development)
    1985-1992: French National coach in charge of the high level programme and coach of the
    men’s team

    1993-1998:
    – National coach of Canada in charge of the Olympic programme
    – Consultant for the international Federation (ITTF) in charge of creating and
    implementing the coach education programme
    – Consultant for the Brazilian association

    1998- 2001: Performance Director of the English Table Tennis Association

    2001 – 2012: National Technical Director of the French table Tennis Association

    2012 – 2013:
    General Manager of the World Table Tennis Championships organized in Paris Bercy (13 – 20 May 2013)

    2014: Special adviser for the International Table Tennis Federation

    Since 2015: Expert referent for the Executive Masters in National Institute of Sport in Paris
    Adviser for the Brazilian table tennis association supervising the Olympic programmes
    Coaching and conference for various sport associations and companies

    Best achievements as coach
    Silver medal at the 1992 Olympic Games (JP Gatien)
    Gold medals at the Pan-American Games
    Gold medals at the Commonwealth Championships
    Gold medal at the European Championships (Mixed doubles 1990)
    Various medals at the European Championships (Team event, men’s singles…)

    Inside story: Met JP Gatien in 1979 (he was 11 years old) and coached him to the 1st.
    position of the World ranking (June 1992) and the final of the 1992 Olympic Games
    JP Gatien has been World Champion in 1993
